RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Summary of Responsibilities

The Macro Research team focuses on the intersection between economics and financial markets across a wide class of assets including equities, rates, FX, credit, mortgages and commodities.

 

We are seeking a Salt Lake City based analyst for the Credit Strategy team.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing and interpreting large amounts of data related to the credit market, economic and political events
  • Presenting data and conclusions in a clean and efficient manner to senior stakeholders
  • Staying on top of industry-related news and analyzing the implications of news/industry developments
  • Publishing timely and innovative research
  • Collaborating with the broader Macro Strategy team as well as our regional economists

 

Preferred Qualifications & Skillset

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably majors in Finance, Economics, or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)
  • Strong quantitative skills and fluency in applied statistics and econometrics
  • Experience using Python, R, SAS, SQL etc. for statistical analysis and data manipulation
  • Familiarity with vendor data such as Bloomberg, Reuters and Haver is a plus
  • Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional writing experience a plus e.g. crafting research notes
  • Desire to work in team-centric environment
