Program Management is a new function within Marquee and as such we are looking for experienced Program Managers who will thrive in fast-paced, demanding and occasionally ambiguous environments. Our Program Managers will bring innovative ideas to the table that help streamline how we deliver our growing book of work that spans multiple divisions in the firm. They an integral part of the team and ensure the Product Managers, Engineers and Designers deliver their commitments to the highest standard, on time and on budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Marquee Product, Design & Engineering teams to define best program management approaches, reporting, and governance for strategic initiatives
  • Coordinate the delivery of our book of work, ensuring that cross projects dependencies, risks and issues are proactively managed
  • Provide transparency of program progress to all relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinate governance meetings and reporting on progress
  • Build strong relationships across the Product, Design and Engineering teams
  • Work with team leads to track and forecast resourcing and demand at an initiative / team level
  • Integrate and improve planning toolsets and processes
  • Integrate with Global Markets Change Management team to share best practices, lessons learned and connect across programs

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years' relevant experience, preferably in a project / program management function
  • Project management skills including program scope definition; issues, challenges, risks definition; status reporting
  • A proven track record of scoping and driving delivery of programs. Has delivered results in a cross functional team setting, on time and on budget
  • Extensive leadership experience demonstrated through empowerment, situational awareness, increasing transparency and conflict resolution on a large-scale Agile program
  • Familiarity with non-Scrum flavors of Agile (Kanban, Lean, etc.)
  • Ability to engage with and influence stakeholders outside their direct control
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and oral; confident in interaction with senior stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker able to identify cross functional issues, provide innovative solutions, and communicate the implications of solutions across existing processes, systems and teams, e.g. costs, risk, service

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of products and workflows related to the financial services industry would be an advantage, as is related experience in technology strategy or in a client service or business function and/or management consulting
  • Knowledge and/or experience of OKR frameworks and how they are used in the delivery of technology products
  • 3 years of hands-on Agile program leadership experience (at a bank, in the financial industry or in a technology startup) in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc.)
  • Experience developing products using customer and design-centric practices
  • Experience on tools like JIRA
