Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Bank USA in Chicago, IL. The Pricing and Portfolio management team is responsible for managing the yield on the personal loans portfolio, optimizing business profitability, ensuring customer retention and incentivizing better payment behavior through promotional strategies. Specific responsibilities include: Evaluating new data sources, creating customer segmentation, and using advanced data processing techniques to drive pricing and targeting decisions. Building models that help predict customer behavior at acquisition and customer payment behavior through the life of a loan which enables better targeting, increased conversion and improved retention. Design, development, evaluation and monitoring of multi variate test and learn strategies that help influence customer decisions throughout the application funnel. Carrying out market competitor analysis to identify new product features/incentives that can drive customer acquisition/retention. Partner with Product Development, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Brand and Design teams to develop new product features and test them in the market. Monitoring and communication key metrics and KPI’s to cross functional teams and business leaders. Managing changes to the Offer optimization service (pricing engine) including working with product and tech teams to understand and capture downstream impacts of changes to ensure accurate pricing implementation. Setting up and monitoring end to end execution monitoring tool to mitigate operational risks.

 

Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Financial Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related data analytics position. Prior work experience must include three (3) years with: Utilizing hands-on experience with pricing, direct marketing, segmentation, and market research; Strategy experience in lending business/marketing analytics; Utilizing advanced statistical techniques and concepts including regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage to design and evaluate pricing tests as well as models that predict price sensitivity; Working with large data sets and Big Data tools and stack including Hadoop; Modeling tools including R, Matlab, and SAS; Programming languages including SQL, Python, and Java; Demonstrating project management skills; Utilizing advanced excel skills to perform financial modeling; and Demonstrating business knowledge of Unsecured Personal Loans.
