The Litigation and Regulatory Proceedings Group oversees and handles litigation, arbitration, regulatory, criminal and other proceedings that involve Goldman Sachs, its affiliates or their employees, as well as other contentious matters in connection with proceedings in which the firm is not a party.  We endeavor to provide highest quality legal advice and representation to the Firm's broad range of businesses relating to litigation and regulatory enforcement matters.  We are seeking an attorney with relevant experience to join the Litigation team.  The position offers the opportunity to work closely on litigation and regulatory matters in connection with the Firm's growing wealth management business and to oversee certain core operational tasks of the Litigation Group.



  • Working on litigation and regulatory matters, including those affecting the firm's wealth management business
  • Overseeing the firm's compliance with subpoenas from governmental authorities and private litigants
  • Working with analysts responsible for handling account levies, attachments and garnishments on customer and client accounts


  • 5+ years of experience required at a leading law firm, financial institution or regulator
  • Team player with the ability to respond and be flexible to client demands
  • Hands-on, energetic, motivated self-starter with the ability to handle multiple, high-priority projects
  • Meticulous attention to detail and superior organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence others who are not in the same line of authority
  • Excellent communication and listening skills with internal/external audiences
  • Strong writing skills
