RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Consumer & Wealth Management Division:

Across Consumer and Wealth Management (CWM), Goldman Sachs helps empower clients and customers around the world reach their financial goals. Our advisor-led wealth management businesses provide financial planning, investment management, banking and comprehensive advice to a wide range of clients, including ultra-high net worth and high net worth individuals, as well as family offices, foundations and endowments, and corporations and their employees. Our consumer business provides digital solutions for consumers to better spend, borrow, invest and save. Across CWM, our growth is driven by a relentless focus on our people, our clients and leading-edge technology, data and design.

 

Wealth Management

Goldman Sachs Wealth Management is comprised of Private Wealth Management (PWM), Personal Financial Management (PFM) and Ayco, a Goldman Sachs Company. PWM serves ultra high-net-worth individuals, families, family offices and nonprofit institutions as a trusted advisor. In 2019, Goldman Sachs acquired United Capital (newly branded PFM), which serves high net-worth individuals across 30 states in 100 offices in the United States. Ayco works with corporate partners to provide their employees—across all wealth levels—a path to financial well-being through personalized financial counseling, investment management and family office services. Across Wealth Management, we help clients achieve their holistic goals by providing access to our insights, expertise and network.

How will you fulfill your potential?

You will:

  • Manage multiple tasks and use sound judgment when prioritizing
  • Develop, plan for, and lead team to execute on, clearly defined software functionality aligned with identified business objectives.
  • Collaborate with globally-located cross functional team in building customer-centric products
  • Follow standard software development guidelines and best practices
  • Analyze existing software implementations to identify areas of improvement and provide estimates for implementing new features
  • Update and maintain documentation for team processes, best practices, and software runbooks

You are:

  • Energetic, self-directed and self-motivated, able to build and sustain long-term relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Open minded when approaching problem solving within the context of a team
  • Analytical, with an ability to apply knowledge and experience in decision-making to arrive at creative and client-oriented solutions
  • Independent and comfortable in a fast paced, ambiguous and often multi-directional work environments

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Computer Science or related field
  • 8+ years of experience leading a cross-functional technology team
  • Experience with Java or other relevant Object Oriented development language
  • Experience with Javascript frameworks (Angular, Typescript, ReactJS)
  • Web development experience with HTML5, CSS3
  • Experience writing SQL queries
  • Experience building transactional systems and strong understanding of software architecture
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to establish trusted partnerships with product heads, and executive level stakeholders

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of XML and JSON
  • Source Control Management systems (i.e., SVN, Git)
  • An understanding of common application architecture design patterns (i.e., MVC, MVVM)
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
