MARCUS: CONSUMER ENGINEERING

 

Marcus Engineering

Marcus by Goldman Sachs is the consumer fintech division of the company.

We help millions of consumers with a multitude of financial products, like lending, deposits, financial tools, and cards. We use modern architecture principles, collaborative development processes and continuous delivery approaches.

Through the use of machine learning and intuitive design, we provide customers with powerful tools that are grounded in value, transparency and simplicity to help them make smarter decisions about their money. As we build a leading digital consumer bank and expand into new products and partnerships, we are looking for engineers to join our team.

 

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

 

In nutshell, contribute to design, development, maintenance and refactoring of the test automation frameworks in UI, REST, Data and other Integration automated testing strategies. As an individual you will be responsible for the following ABCD:

  • Architect tools/framework that will support multiple lines of business in consumer space.
  • Build the code from ground up using latest and greatest within tech industry.
  • Collaborate with global teams consisting of developer and test engineer throughout the process.
  • Disruptive across organization by picturizing to senior management the efficacy and efficiency of the improved framework.

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

Basic Qualifications

 

  • B.S. or higher degree in relevant field (Computer Science, Mathematics, etc.)
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional development experience
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant professional quality management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with proven ability to influence people
  • Strong analytical reasoning, organizing and prioritization skills
  • Research and development oriented
  • Keen on owning and leading in delivery of initiatives
  • Mentoring other junior and new members of the team

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in coding languages such as Java, Javascript, Kotlin
  • Worked on scripting languages like Python, Shell, Perl
  • Familiar with frameworks such as Maven, Cypress, Gradle, Hybrid mobile apps, etc.
  • Fundamentals of CI/CD and comfortable tools such as Gitlab, Github, Jenkins, etc.
  • Understanding of BDD/TDD frameworks and hand-on with the likes of JBehave and Cucumber
  • Fundamentals of testing methodologies and test patterns used across industry
  • Experienced with amazon web services, kubernetes, dockers is added bonus
