Environmental, Social and Governance Vendor Data Licensing Manager

The ESG Data Licensing Manager sits within the Data Engineering team at Goldman Sachs and will work closely on ESG focused efforts across all business divisions that have ESG data needs. The successful candidate will work alongside the business and must have excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team. 

Your Impact:

• Identify and procure high quality vendor curated ESG data
• Secure vendor data usage rights that enable GS to meet our clients demand for ESG focused financial products and services
• Influence vendor roadmaps to ensure development roadmaps align with current and future GS data requirements
• Decrease time to market for on boarding ESG vendor data

How will you fulfil your potential?

• Define GS divisions ESG data requirements as part of their sustainable financing, investing and advisory activities
• Establish and maintain all ESG vendor relationships
• Lead contract negotiations for commercials and usage rights
• Optimise GS spend on ESG data through contract consolidation

Basic Qualifications/Experience

• 2-3 years minimum relevant Financial Services work experience
• Extensive knowledge and proven experience of negotiating financial data vendor contracts
• In-depth understanding of Environmental, Social and Governance datasets
• General knowledge of business processes, data delivery mechanisms, data structures and market data licensing terms

Preferred Qualifications

• Keen interest in sustainable finance
• Vendor Management, data licensing and/or financial data business analysis experience
• Knowledge of the MDSL MDM inventory system
