The Business Development Associate role will have a tremendous responsibility in supporting the Regional Business Development team to help achieve team and regional targets for the firm. Goldman Sachs RIA Custody is looking for an excellent communicator, self-starter, intellectually curious and motivated individual to build a career in business development.


THE JOB – WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Business Development Associate, you will be integral to helping the Regional Sales Team achieve its team and regional goals. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, prospecting for new clients, qualifying and vetting incoming leads, building internal and external relationships and identifying ways to improve efficiencies and coordinating the onboarding and approval process of new clients. You will also work closely with a range of Goldman Sachs departments to implement strategies and projects that increase awareness of the new RIA custody offering to help attract new business.

 

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Partner with Business Development Officers on lead generation activities
  • Engage with and qualify inbound leads and inquiries
  • Assist with pipeline reporting and CRM cleanliness
  • Pipeline reporting management
  • Create processes to drive efficiency and scale by tracking deals from beginning to end
  • Using data to help improve processes
  • Work internally to provide solutions for Advisors needs with respective stakeholders
  • Partner with the team to ensure that committed opportunities are successfully managed through appropriate compliance and approval process in a swift manner
  • Act as a subject matter expert on the Goldman Sachs offering
  • Understanding the technology ecosystem and how best to help our clients
  • Build relationships with Centers of Influence to increase awareness in the industry

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years’ experience in Sales or a similar role
  • Experience in RIA, Custody or Brokerage industry

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Series 7 and 63, or desire to obtain
  • Experience in using CRM software to enhance the Sales experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
