Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (PWM) specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for high net worth individuals and families, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments. PWM Teams work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from our deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities and global reach. Our Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of Goldman Sachs and beyond, which may include tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning and private banking and lending services. As client needs evolve, this close relationship allows the team to offer complementary services and new opportunities by leveraging the resources of Goldman Sachs and beyond

 

OUR IMPACT

The Capital Allocation Team (CAT) within PWM Capital Markets partners with PWAs and Investment Banking Division (IBD) to provide access to Equity Capital Markets (ECM) transactions for PWM clients. The team helps to enhance the overall issuer and PWM client experience and optimize the execution for equity offerings globally.

 

YOUR IMPACT

We are seeking an experienced Associate or Vice President to manage the syndication of ECM and DCM transactions to PWM clients. The candidate will also be involved in the broader PWM Capital Markets transactional business by virtue of CAT’s positioning within the Cross Markets Team (CMT).

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Responsible for managing the end-to-end syndication process and strategy for the Firm’s UHNW clients focused on ECM and DCM transactions
  • Develop close relationship with IBD leadership and senior bankers to ensure the PWM business and clients are well represented
  • Manage the Firm’s Directed Share Program (DSP) offering, with responsibility for growing the business line, pitching to issuers, and ensuring a seamless entry point to the Firm for clients
  • Serve as a primary contact for PWM teams in managing the ECM and DCM portion of their business and ensure a positive client experience
  • Collaborate across other PWM Capital Markets (MCG and Apex) businesses on focus clients and unique client-first requests
  • Manage various technology uplift programs relating to the business
  • Track business and market trends and revenues, and adjust the PWM approach to offerings in response to broader market dynamics
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders across divisions
  • Create innovative solutions for a fast paced and growing transactional business
  • Work on special projects to develop new business lines, streamline processes and improve technological infrastructure

 SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 5-10 years of experience in equity markets or private wealth; strong understanding of equity capital markets is essential
  • Strong, demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and foster a strong network of relationships
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as past experience presenting, across wide range of audiences and seniority
  • Independent thinker and self-starter with exceptional time management
  • Creative approach to problem solving and developing innovative solutions
  • Strong client focus, business development and relationship management skills
