Your Impact
Our Controls Testing & Advanced Analytics team is growing and we're looking for an outstanding candidate to join our team.  We operate as Marcus Deposit’s first line of defense and ensure process-level risk and controls are monitored to prevent and minimize customer impact and operational risk.  As a member of this team, you will be responsible for executing business process controls tests and proactively identify operational risk, workflow deficiencies, and develop controls enhancement solutions.




  • Develop and execute operational controls tests to ensure agents, and process workflows, adhere to predetermined standard procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with supervisors to share quality performance issues and provide regular actionable insights on overall performance and trends
  • Promote a robust controls environment to ensure the highest standards of consumer protection
  • Perform ad-hoc statistical analysis using pivot tables, vlookup, complex formulas, and other advanced Excel functions to determine root causes and trends related to testing failures
  • Writing and speaking about technical concepts to business, technical, and lay audiences and giving data-driven presentations
  • Work effectively with teammates and earn credibility from stakeholders quickly


Basic Qualifications

  • BS or MS (Risk Management, Business, Finance or similar) or equivalent professional/military experience
  • 1-3 year of experience in enterprise/operational risk management or management consulting
  • Experience automating tasks/functions in Microsoft Excel using VBA/Macros
  • Forward thinker, strong drive, and ability to work independently in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment 
  • Experience leading root cause analysis, troubleshooting technical process failures, and developing action plans and solutions to minimize operational risk
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player, who takes ownership and accountability of projects
  • Strong organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
  • Strong risk assessment framework knowledge and experience performing risk assessments covering key risks and controls
  • Working knowledge of financial, operational, compliance and reputation risks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using R, Python, SQL, Alteryx, Tableau
  • Brokerage Account Management, Robo-Advisory, Wealth Management knowledge
  • Individual Retirement Accounts (Traditional, Roth, and SEP) knowledge
  • Portfolio and Asset Management processes knowledge
  • Stock and Bond Exchange-Traded Funds (ETF) knowledge
  • Banking and Financial Services, Specifically Investments and Checking knowledge
