Goldman Sachs is looking for a Senior Product Manager who will have direct responsibility for the development and implementation of the SMA product strategy. This Senior Product Manager will maintain close relationships with financial advisors, Sales, and other SMA stakeholders to understand market needs. They will specify, implement, and manage the SMA platform experience to achieve the agreed business plan; design and manage through the full product lifecycle to meet customers’ needs and deliver a best in class experience, leveraging digital channels in particular; and recommend Sales acquisition strategies. This strategic role identifies the roadmap direction and strategic alternatives. They justify the direction to software development, GS leadership, and their Product Managers, and hold their Product Managers accountable for incremental delivery.

 The Senior Product Manager must:

• Spend time with customers and other stakeholders to validate market problems; act as the customer champion to Engineering
• Develop a business plan, strategy, and product roadmap based on a deep understanding of business drivers, competition, and stakeholder needs
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative customer feedback and KPIs to inform product strategy and pipeline developmen
• Define long- and short-term goals based on commercial and customer outcomes; evaluate product performance relative to goals
• Prioritize initiatives and features, using domain expertise, customer insights, and market research to make informed trade-offs between new feature development, platform investment, and optimizationsScope product releases (MVPs) to deliver value early and validate business hypotheses with the least amount of effort
• Partner with Operations to ensure that SMAs are supported seamlessly and consistently across digital and telephony channels
• Partner closely with Engineering and other stakeholders to define user journeys and product features; write acceptance criteria at the initiative and feature level
• Determine roll-out strategies; approve final marketing and go-to-market plans
• Partner with Engineering and other functions to drive rapid, effective delivery; represent delivery progress to stakeholders
  Influence senior leaders' decision making and investment
• Write backlogs of strategic initiatives and features in outcome-focused language that allows engineers to offer creative solutions

 Qualifications:

• Strong technical background (either educational or practical work experience)
• 5-7 years Product experience from a product-driven financial services or technology company
• Experience with agile practices
• Proven ability to bring new products to market that effectively meet market needs
• Ability to convert complex quantitative and technical ideas into simple messaging for a wide variety of stakeholders
• Backbone. You can only have one #1 priority. You will have to say No.
• Financial Services experience in asset management (especially SMA experience) is a plus but we will consider candidates without this
