Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs) are investment accounts that are customized to investors’ portfolio management strategies and personal values. As investor demand shifts to the customization and personalization of portfolios in SMAs, we want to lead the market in expanding distribution of our differentiated financial products with outstanding digital experiences. Goldman Sachs is looking for a Digital Product Manager who will engage with key stakeholders across business, product, engineering and operations to develop, prioritize and own the product roadmap for specific aspects of the SMA platform, as well as drive Sales goals for the existing SMA business. You will drive the agile development process to deliver new features and functionality, identifying and measuring key metrics to ensure a best in class customer experience with an emphasis on digital channels. In addition, you will support the existing business by creating marketing materials, reporting, and serving as Go To person for the SMA business. You will fill in the roadmap details from "Now" to the roadmap destination identified by a Senior Product Manager by merging the understanding of the strategy with the understanding of software development into a credible path of incremental delivery to the destination. 



The Product Manager must:

  • Spend time with customers and other stakeholders to validate market problems; act as the customer champion to Engineering
  • Own and drive a product roadmap to meet business goals, achieve KPIs and provide a world-class customer experience
  • Research industry trends and features to develop and pitch recommendations for the product roadmap
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative customer feedback and KPIs to inform product strategy and pipeline development
  • Work with a cross-functional team to design and deliver differentiated digital features and experiences
  • Break up large initiatives into actionable releases
  • Play the Scrum Product Owner role. Prioritize the product backlog, using domain expertise, customer insights and market research to make informed trade-offs between new feature development, platform investment and optimizations
  • Write user stories and acceptance criteria and refine stories with developers and designers
  • Be the go-to person for questions about the product and the intent of requirements; interact with engineering teams continuously throughout the sprint
  • Become an expert on the SMA product capabilities with the ability to answer questions and inform strategies
  • Support the existing SMA business day-to-day, including reporting, contact management, Sales support, creation of marketing materials, answering product questions
  • Elevate the product proficiency/effectiveness of GSAM Sales professionals through ongoing training, communication of relevant portfolio analytics and the development of sales ideas
  • Own and maintain marketing and sales support materials
  • Build a safe team environment with an emphasis on transparency, collaboration, and problem solving


 Basic Qualifications:

  • Background in Financial Services
  • Experience working with Scrum teams (building a backlog, joining ceremonies, etc.)
  • 3+ years experience in a Digital Product role
  • Analytical mindset, creativity, and commercial focus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
