Our team is responsible for developing and building the new consumer investment platform to enable the division to extend its investment capabilities to a wide range of customers in an automated and scalable way.  We design and build tools that are transforming the financial services experience, focused on building universally accessible investment solutions that are simple and transparent and extending our services to new client segments. We are a product driven team, composed of talented and passionate product managers, designers, and engineers working to change the landscape of investment management.


Your Impact


We are seeking a product manager analyst/associate to join our team. In this role, you will engage with key stakeholders across business, engineering and brand teams to develop, prioritize and build the product roadmap for Marcus Invest. You will help drive strategy, development and enhancements across the digital products offered by Consumer and Wealth Management Division.

The ideal candidate is resourceful and detail-oriented with prior experience and interest in investment products and portfolio strategies. Prior experience of working with clients to inform portfolio solutions and working with engineering and design teams to bring digital customer products to market is preferred.

  • Drive the development process to deliver new features and functionality for Marcus Invest while identifying and measuring key metrics to ensure a best in class customer experience across our web and mobile properties
  • Work alongside design, engineering, marketing, legal, compliance, operations and other teams to build delightful, easy-to-use features that solve customer problems related to personal finance
  • Define, design and build product features by writing user stories with detailed acceptance criteria and groom stories with developers and designers
  • Liaise with colleagues on firmwide product and investment teams to understand new investment options suitable for consumers and execute on product roadmap to bring new innovative investment solutions to customers in a digital first experience
  • Oversee the functioning of investment platform and closely liaise with internal operation teams including customer service and operations to oversee smooth functioning
  • Use data, user research and a test and learn approach to inform decisions and continually optimize products
  • Own and prioritize a product backlog—using data to make informed tradeoffs between new feature development, platform investment and user issues/feedback
  • Monitor financial markets and undertake portfolio analysis and performance attribution for the investment offerings on the platform


Skills and experience we are looking for:

  • 2+ years of prior experience in investment management
  • Aptitude for logically breaking down complex problems and processes, documenting workflows and edge cases, and communicating solutions with clarity
  • Experience in working with diverse and dynamic product and engineering teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure
  • Strong interest in the financial markets and good investment sense/commercial instinct
  • Working knowledge of asset management compliance and investment guidelines
  • Interest in Digital Investment products and Fintech sector is a plus

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience working with financial advisors and clients to assist in financial planning, investment analysis and portfolio construction
  • 1-3 years of product management experience in fast-paced, agile product development environment
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses preferred
