Goldman Sachs Personal Financial Management (GS PFM) specializes in creating personalized wealth management plans for affluent individuals and families. We give clients clarity, confidence and control over their financial decisions. Our dedicated team of advisors across approximately 100 offices throughout the U.S., develops and implements personalized plans tailored to each client's values and life goals. Our advisors offer an investment platform inclusive of products and services offered by Goldman Sachs and other third parties, including private banking and lending offerings. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

The Project Manager role at Goldman Sachs, Personal Financial Management, is an integral part of the Advisory Services Department, as you assist in the organization and implementation of your essential responsibilities, as listed below.  In this role you will report directly to the VP, Deputy Region Head.  You will also need to work productively in a team environment, as well as independently to provide support and coordination of team projects.  To be successful in this role, you need to have the ability to multitask, take initiative and work proactively to solve problems with minimal guidance.  The ability to manage multiple functions and tasks in a very fast paced environment is absolutely essential in this role.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily support as needed to ensure timely completion of all projects and activities
  • Schedule department calls and meetings as directed
  • Schedule department business travel as directed
  • Gather, compile and review data and/or relevant information necessary to draft work product or content
  • Draft and proof Excel spreadsheets, comprehensive Word reports, PowerPoint shows, and other work related to the onboarding or practice development of regional offices subject matter based upon senior level input and direction
  • Responsible for and frequently contributes to the quality and consistent improvement in the work product of the department
  • Proof and review work product for quality and accuracy as directed
  • Create forms, templates, tools and model resources to support regional office practice development based upon senior level input
  • Prepare necessary meeting documents such as agendas, communications, etc.
  • Compile data and project materials from multiple team members while working on additional special projects
  • Identify and work to resolve problems under the guidance of senior leadership
  • Assist with the project management and coordination of all regional offices assigned to you
  • Provide support to ensure expectations of your region are met

 

 

  1. POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Experience & Education

  • A bachelor’s degree and/or related work experience is preferred
  • Ideally 3-5 years experience as an administrative or support professional
  • A proven track record in managing complex and multiple projects across various departments
  • Comfort with being a “team player” and doing whatever is needed, big or small
  • Demonstrated flexibility, self-discipline and ability to work independently as well as within a group
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage to deadlines
  • Ability to self-direct and manage time and priorities

 

 

Skills & Knowledge

  • Proven track record as a team leader with an understanding of management practices
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite required (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Be self-motivated and goal oriented
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and listening)
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM preferred
