RIA Engineering

The Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) Engineering team in Global Markets is responsible for delivering digital services to our Registered Investment Advisor clients. We design and build sleek, modern frontends, powered by scalable, reliable, and secured backend API services to provide clients trading, portfolio management, asset custody and clearing services. The RIA Engineering team builds new features, and continues bringing new financial products to our RIA clients, giving them necessary services and tools to serve their clients’ needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities

  • Application SDLC, deployment and runtime management with a goal of reducing product cycle time
  • Infrastructure Services – DMZ, proxies, load balancing and firewalls
  • Risk Management – Resiliency design & planning, collection and analysis of availability metrics
  • Ensure continued delivery of services to clients

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years industry experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer role
  • 3+ years of Hybrid Infrastructure and Application management
  • 2+ years of experience within a high-performance, 24x7, DevOps or SysOps team
  • 2+ years of AWS experience
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills
  • Comfortable multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders and working as part of a team
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Organize, secure, and automate existing infrastructure and deployments
  • Experience on zero downtime deployments in both application as well as infrastructure
  • Work closely with developers and Infrastructure team to provide feedback and drive operational improvements
  • Will be responsible for ensuring that our platform is stable and balanced
  • Maintain high site uptime, while embracing rapid change and growth
  • Scale vertical and horizontal to meet increasing demand and evolving technology
  • Develop and improve operational practices and procedures
  • Implement, monitor, and maintain CI/CD frameworks
  • You may participate in on-call rotation
  • Automate, automate, automate

Preferred Qualifications

  • Container Orchestration
  • Configuration Management tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible)
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • Java, Ruby, or Perl/Shell/Python programming experience is a plus
  • You have proven experience in mentoring more junior team members
  • Atlassian Suite (Bamboo, Bitbucket, Jira and Confluence)
  • Networking knowledge
  • Experience with integrating Monitoring solutions
  • Experience with OLTP & OLAP type applications
  • Experience with continuous deployment/delivery practices
  • Experience with cloud computing systems
  • Experience working in a regulated environment
