Ayco advisors and technical specialists help clients achieve their personal financial goals through education and guided implementation across seven key financial disciplines, including employee benefit planning.


Job Summary:


The Vice President, TP&R Trust Specialist is responsible for handling the more complex and complicated trust income tax and estate and gift tax planning questions from Ayco Associates, primarily from the Ayco Family Office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  1. Keep up-to-date on latest technical tax developments.

  2. Answer the more complicated trust income tax and estate planning questions, as well as general income tax questions as time permits.

  3. Review trust documents for technical accuracy. In addition, review form of ownership/beneficiary designations to ensure dispositive objectives are met.

  4. Participate in client and attorney teleconferences to explain trust and estate planning strategies.

  5. Update technical materials, including client-facing Insight Memo’s and internally-directed Technical Advisory and Training Memos.

  6. Create training materials for on-site training seminars and teleconferences and conduct Advisor training.

  7. Conduct training sessions for various other departments.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  1.  Four years + trust income tax/estate planning experience. JD degree; in addition, CPA designation would be helpful. Existing knowledge base of basic and intermediate level estate and gift tax planning strategies.

  2. Excellent writing/communication skills.

  3. Detail-oriented/organizational skills.

  4. Above average analytical skills.

  5. Team player.
