Are you looking to join a highly visible and global organization operating in a dynamic business environment?  Our Tax Operations team is seeking an experienced and self-driven Business Analyst to oversee small to large regulatory change projects across our organization.

OUR IMPACT     

Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and control to preserve and enhance the firm’s assets and its reputation.  For every trade agreed, every new product launched or market entered, every transaction completed, it is Operations that develops the processes and controls that makes business flow.

Tax Operations is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the firm’s compliance with reporting authorities around the globe and managing related inquiries from a variety of the firm’s businesses across established and emerging markets.  Day-to-day team functions include accurate and timely account documentation and monitoring, withholding, client information reporting, and regulatory filings.   The team also has the responsibility of analyzing new or additional regulations and then designing process set-ups and system changes. The team capitalizes on opportunities to optimize procedures and build scalability through data analytics and efficient use of technology.

HOW YOU WILL FULL FILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Develop deep subject matter expertise in relevant tax systems, procedures and requirements
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of multiple business lines across the firm in a role offering broad exposure to many divisions and groups
  • Use your inquisitive mindset to identify control weakness, mitigate risk, improve client experience and further process automation
  • Provide feedback & reporting to senior management
  • Act as a risk manager through ongoing assessment and awareness of the tax regulatory environment and the firm’s adherence to applicable tax reporting obligations
  • Work with management and teams across regions to drive initiatives and issue resolution
  • Generate new ideas to create efficiencies and reduce risk
  • Be flexible and contribute to other activities as required

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor degree and 7+ years relevant work experience in Operations Change Management, Program Management, Accounting, Finance or related field leading teams, functions and projects.
  • Experience in requirements engineering and prioritization of business requirements.
  • Understanding of system development life cycle and workflow modeling.
  • Ability to identify risks and execute plans for remediation.
  • Experience presenting complex issues and solutions to executive leadership.
  • Proven ability to prioritize workload to drive results, solve problems and take accountability for deadlines / outcomes.
  • Thrives in a team environment, possesses strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Remains composed under pressure, prioritizes and makes decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Track record of accuracy and attention to detail; flexible, proactive, self-starter
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and translate strategy to execution.
  • Ability to partner with both technology and non-technology resources

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong data analysis skills and experience with Microsoft Excel, basic SQL, Alteryx
  • Prior Lean management experience
  • Experience in decision modelling, writing functional requirements, performing root cause analysis and executing UAT testing.
  • Exposure to programming languages i.e., Java, C++, Python
