Goldman Sachs Personal Financial Management (GS PFM) specializes in creating personalized wealth management plans for affluent individuals and families. We give clients clarity, confidence and control over their financial decisions. Our dedicated team of advisors across approximately 100 offices throughout the U.S., develops and implements personalized plans tailored to each client's values and life goals. Our advisors offer an investment platform inclusive of products and services offered by Goldman Sachs and other third parties, including private banking and lending offerings. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Define organizational structure to ensure team is structured to deliver on required service expectations.

  • Act as a culture carrier for the department, ensuring team members are enthusiastic about their roles and understand career mobility opportunities.

  • Guide and promote the careers of team members through mentorship and delivery of effective feedback.

  • Provide insight and recommendations to improve efficiency of operational functions.

  • Identifying and developing divisional priorities and strategy for PFM and Centralized Operations, in support of the strategic priorities of the business and division.

  • Define and implement systems, process and procedure to ensure team can deliver on all service expectations.

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day centralized operations team.
  • Monitor and manage team performance to proactively identify efficiency issues and propose solutions.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of all operational phases and systems including Envestnet, Salesforce, Fidelity, Schwab and TDA.

  • Coordinate with the Advisory Services team and advisors to support to operations throughout the organization.

  • Provide regular performance updates and analytics to the senior leadership team in support of strategic decision making.

  • Conduct effective resource planning to maximize the productivity of resources (people & technology).

  • Executing on various organizational responsibilities related to leadership meetings, business planning, organizational design, and space management.



Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 3-7 years supervisory experience in operations or related field.

  • Multi-team management experience.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the financial industry.

  • Prefer familiarity with wealth management business.

  • Proven track record as a team leader with an understanding of management practices.

  • Demonstrated project and budget management skills.

  • Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of fundamental business principles.

  • Analytical problem-solving skills with an impeccable attention to detail.

  • Ability to set overall strategy and drive process improvement.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel).
