Job Summary & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating customer segmentation, evaluating new data sources and using advanced data processing techniques to drive pricing, marketing and targeting decisions
  • Helping with the design, development, evaluation and monitoring of test and learn strategies that help business influence customer decisions throughout the application funnel
  • Carrying out market data analysis to study opportunities in the industry and identify new products/areas where Marcus can increase its market share
  • Responsible for building models that help predict customer behavior which enables better targeting and conversion
  • Developing and implementing a sound forecasting methodology to enable forecasting originations on a daily basis to help stimulate conversations around driving incremental growth
  • Responsible for working with acquisition channel owners to understand and size growth initiatives to facilitate business planning in the long term
  • Making recommendations on product, pricing, creative, segmentation, channel management, bidding
  • Working closely with technology teams to implement pricing strategies in the marketplace

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage and prioritize multiple initiatives at the same time

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience preferred
  • Advanced degree (Masters) in quantitative areas like Applied Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines as well as marketing line experience
  • Advanced excel skills including financial modeling
  • Experience working with large data sets and and Big Data tools and stack (e.g., Hadoop)
  • Experience with one or more modeling tools (R, Matlab, Octave, SPSS, SAS) and one or more mainstream programming language (Python, Java, C, Scala, C++, etc)
  • Hands-on experience with direct marketing, segmentation, pricing, creative strategy development, market research
  • Prior strategy experience in lending/fintech/banking is strongly preferred. 
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience working in a start-up business is preferred
