The Operations team at Goldman Sachs is responsible for providing a variety of services for our clients. We provide a powerful platform for diversified investing and portfolio management with significant customization, tax and cost management benefits.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities:

  • Daily processing of IRA contributions and distributions; asset transfers to beneficiaries upon notification of death of the account owner;  transfer of assets based on conversions to Roth IRA from traditional IRA accounts.
  • Monitor email, fax and paper requests for IRA processing, internal transfer requests and death claims
  • Respond to client and internal Client Service Representative requests for information on IRAs
  • Transfers to Beneficiaries and other claims
  • Reconcile IRA transactions utilizing reports from our 3rd party IRA record-keeper
  • Approve and manually report Beneficiary IRAs
  • Process all internal account transfer requests for securities and cash for all account types
  • Acquire death certificates; maintain death certificate files; place restrictrictions on accounts upon receipt of notification of client death
  • Verify beneficiary identification and process beneficiary distribution instructions

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 months experience in banking/financial services field with a concentration in IRAs, including processing contributions and distributions, federal/state tax withholding processing and reporting on distributions and IRA account closures in accordance with government regulations and policies
  • Experience with maintaining retirement records, financial statements and reports
  • Basic math and reasoning ability
  • Experience in verifying customer and account information
  • High level of attention to detail
