What We Do
Securities Strats play important roles in several areas on the trading floor. Some Strats sit on trading desks, creating cutting-edge derivative pricing models and developing empirical models to provide insight into market behavior. Others develop automated trading algorithms for the firm and its clients, taking an active part in the shift from voice to electronic trading. A third group works directly with the firm’s sales force and clients, analyzing exposures, structuring transactions, and applying quantitative concepts to meet client needs. The Frontline SRE Production Engineering team owns the operation of the firm's automated trading systems in the production environment. This critical role includes analysis and support of real-time trading issues, and building trading tools for reducing toil within support.
This team also incorporates aspects of software engineering and applies it to trading operations problems. We push our own boundaries and challenge status quo in others. Our main goal is to create extremely scalable and resilient trading systems through best of class software change management. Our team supports and enhances UAT and Production environments that are leveraged by clients and internal users for testing software and daily use.
As an Infrastructure strategist who sits in the Securities Division, you will play an integral role on the trading floor. In this role, as part of the frontline team, you will analyze the inefficiencies within support processes, by participating in day to day support functions, and focus on reducing them. Some of the support functions include analyzing complex problems and recommending solutions, coordinating production incidents and managing post mortems, and deploying software into production ensuring the appropriate change management process is followed You will have a strong interest in financial markets and use this knowledge, together with the insight you gain from owning the production environment to recommend and implement enhancements and improvements to our electronic trading product offering.
