ENTERPRISE RISK MANAGEMENT

The Risk Division aims to effectively identify, monitor, evaluate, and manage the firm’s financial and non-financial risks in support of the firm’s Risk Appetite Statement and the firm’s strategic plan. The Enterprise Risk Management team is responsible for ensuring that the firm’s risks are managed systemically, such that the firm has a regular, comprehensive view of its risk profile as well as of key trends and emerging risks that could potentially affect the firm’s overall risk profile. We ensure that Risk Division and senior leadership is consistently informed on the holistic risk profile, inclusive of financial and non-financial risks, in a way that facilitates strategic planning and risk decision making.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive view of the Firm’s risk profile by identifying material risks of the Firm and assessing those risks quantitatively and qualitatively
  • Interact with stakeholders within the Risk Division and across other Divisions to help identify a comprehensively risk profile of the firm
  • Create presentations for senior management committees and the Board of Directors summarizing the firm’s risk profile
  • Manage the Firm’s granular risk inventory and analyze changes in material risks
  • Identify the top risks of the Firm and mitigating actions to reduce risk exposure

 

To fulfill these objectives, Enterprise Risk Managements interfaces with a wide array of businesses and risk management groups across the firm. The cross-disciplinary nature of the projects that the team engages in makes for a rewarding and multifaceted work environment.

 

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5-7 years of work experience
  • Prior experience in Risk Management, Capital Planning or a related field. Prior experience in Enterprise risk management preferred
  • Strong documentation, analytical, presentational and communication skills with prior experience in communicating with senior management
  • Ability to comfortably and effectively interact with internal risk experts, business units and various stakeholders outside of the Risk Division, including senior management
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
