Asset Management is the primary investing area of Goldman Sachs. We provide investment and advisory services for some of the world’s leading pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, endowments, foundations, financial advisors and individuals. Working across asset classes in public and private markets, we oversee more than $2 trillion in assets under supervision globally. We build long-term relationships with clients who rely on us to help them navigate markets, manage risk and find innovative ways to meet their investment goals. We look for individuals who value our commitment to excellence, a passion for investing and a desire to build enduring relationships.

Alternatives Capital Markets & Strategy (ACMS) is a firmwide group established in 2019 to oversee all institutional capital markets, capital raising, and strategy for alternative investments throughout Goldman Sachs.  Engaging with both Goldman Sachs’ proprietary direct-investing programs and external managers’ open-architecture strategies, the ACMS Group centrally manages capital raising for all alternatives products and portfolio solutions for all institutional investors in alternatives, across private equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure, growth equity, secondary’s, GP stakes, impact investing, and absolute-return strategies.

Alternatives Capital Markets & Strategy – Fund Financing Team

The fund financing team within ACMS is responsible for securing third-party financing for our commingled fund products and building relationships with providers of capital for fund vehicles to aid in the Firm’s strategic goal of optimizing the use of its balance sheet. The fund financing team engages with internal teams within Goldman Sachs, as well as directly with external clients around the world, across all investor types.  Within ACMS, team members work within product verticals but also collaborate across strategies, to share best practices and identify portfolio-wide solutions in partnership with the ACMS Client Strategy Teams.  Professional development initiatives are managed centrally across the entire ACMS Group, with regular opportunities to enhance expertise across all alternative investment products, and to sharpen market knowledge from industry experts investing across the Merchant Banking Division.
