MORE ABOUT THIS JOB

Goldman Sachs Asset Management is one of the world’s leading investors in alternative investments. With over 30 years of experience, we invest in the full spectrum of alternatives, including private equity, growth equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure, ESG, and absolute-return strategies. Our clients access these solutions through our direct proprietary strategies, customized strategic partnerships, and open-architecture programs. Our alternative investment teams represent over 1,000 professionals, across 31 offices around the world. We leverage the depth and breadth of global relationships across Goldman Sachs to identify investment opportunities, drawing on our firm-wide capital market insights, industry research, and risk management platforms. We extend these capabilities to the world’s leading pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, governments, financial institutions, endowments, foundations, family offices and individuals, for which we invest or advise on over $300 billion of alternative investments.

Alternatives Capital Markets & Strategy (ACMS) is a firmwide group established in 2019 to oversee all institutional capital markets, capital raising, and strategy for alternative investments throughout Goldman Sachs. Engaging with both Goldman Sachs’ proprietary direct-investing programs and external managers’ open-architecture strategies, the ACMS Group centrally manages capital raising for all alternatives products and portfolio solutions for all institutional investors in alternatives, across private equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure, growth equity, secondaries, GP stakes, impact investing, and absolute-return strategies.

The Hedging Associate is responsible for helping formulate and implement a foreign exchange strategy across all AMD Private investing strategies.  This includes responsibility for hedging across the AMD Private funds and GS balance sheet, as well as working with investors in our managed account strategies to understand, develop and implement a hedging program that meets their needs across various deals.  This position also involves working with deal teams across all products managed by AMD Private (corporate, real estate and infrastructure) to understand the FX risk associated with each transaction and to formulate a recommended hedging strategy.  The position will require deep understanding of FX hedging, AMD Private investments and the ability to communicate the FX strategy to managed account investors.
