RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

The Partnerships and Strategy Associate will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Transaction Banking business and driving high-profile strategy projects and partnerships. Selected projects will include:

  • Driving partnerships with technology companies and fintechs from initial ideation to launch and execution
  • Defining the sales strategy to increase sales force effectiveness
  • Driving the international expansion strategy, partnering with teams in Europe and Asia
  • Championing investments in new product areas and new initiatives, and contributing to TxB’s product roadmap to drive growth

 

This person will work closely with the Transaction Banking leadership team across Strategy, Product, Sales, Operations, Risk, and Engineering.

 

The Team

The TxB Leadership & Strategy team sets the strategic direction of Transaction Banking’s business and manages day-to-day operations. Key areas of focus include sales strategy, partnerships, international expansion, new product development, communications, marketing, and financial management.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 3 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, business and/or technology strategy, or related field
  • Client facing experience managing complex senior stakeholder relationships
  • Experience managing projects with many moving parts
  • Financial modeling experience and strong quantitative background to support data-informed decision making
  • Collaborative, team player attitude with the ability to navigate and influence the organization
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to act on detailed feedback
  • Excellent communication, organizational, time management and planning skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Management consulting experience preferred, and experience working with financial services or technology clients
  • Strong interest in and knowledge of payments and enterprise sales & technology
  • Exceptional communication skills- someone who is an engaging storyteller and is at ease presenting to executives
  • Creative problem solver
  • Blend of both strategic and tactical thinking- someone who can identify and prioritize opportunities in highly ambiguous contexts, and then organize thematic work areas in deep detail, thus aligning long term vision with iterative execution
  • Track record of driving business strategy and partnerships
  • Success in navigating corporate environments or startups
  • Ability to generate ideas, identify and drive the development of new business
  • Strong working relationships with clients, colleagues and cross-functional partners
