The Alternative Investments & Manager Selection (“AIMS”) Group is responsible for identifying, researching and selecting leading third-party investment managers. The group provides investors with investment and advisory solutions across leading hedge fund managers, private equity funds, secondaries, GP stakes, real estate managers, public equity and fixed income strategies.

With over 350 professionals across 11 offices globally, the AIMS Group helps institutional and individual investors with their program design, manager diligence, portfolio construction and risk management.  The investment solutions in AIMS have a long history and our programs have seeded and partnered with many of the world's most prominent alternative investment managers.  

Today, AIMS oversees over $275 billion across portfolios of both customized and commingled fund solutions as one of the world's broadest, deepest and longest-standing “open architecture” programs. We manage globally diversified programs, targeted sector-specific strategies, customized portfolios, and a range of advisory services. Our investors generally access opportunities through new fund commitments, secondary market investments, co-investments, seed capital investments, investment manager equity / revenue share stakes, or fund of fund solutions.


The AIMS Platform Management team broadly is responsible for portfolio implementation and trading, liquidity management, executing equity and currency hedging programs, portfolio construction and monitoring, external manager on-boarding, private market deal closings, overseeing the business control framework as well as a number of important strategic initiatives. The team works closely with the investment and client portfolio solutions areas within AIMS, and with functional teams across the broader firm including Central Trading, Fund Accounting, Operations, Technology, Legal and Compliance. Within Platform management, specific teams focus on discrete activities such as liquidity management.



  • Participate in portfolio liquidity management functions such as portfolio life cycle analysis, liquidity target modeling, optimization of credit facility utilization, cash projections, investment liquidity tracking, portfolio expense analysis and others
  • Work closely with deal, allocation and trading teams to outline liquidity and funding plans for all portfolio activity
  • Help optimize capital utilization across portfolios and determine investor-level capital calls and distributions
  • Provide guidance to client teams on upcoming investor capital activity across all portfolios
  • Participate in activities related to portfolio launches, restructuring and rebalances
  • Develop analytical models and reports to support critical business functions
  • Active participation in strategic projects that span multiple functional areas, with a focus on profitability, efficiency and scalability
  • Respond to both ongoing and ad-hoc requests from the various business areas within the AIMS organization



  • 4+ years of relevant industry experience; preferably alternative investments or asset management
  • Desire to develop an in-depth understanding of the AIMS investment process, structures and platforms, market strategies, and client offering
  • Demonstrate an interest in understanding financial markets and asset management
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills and high level of proficiency in market data applications, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong project planning, organization, and time management skills- able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
  • Detailed oriented
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual
