The Corporate and Workplace Solutions Division (CWS) is comprised of Corporate and Workplace Solutions and the Office of Global Security. Our team focuses on commercial management, client support, advisory solutions, strategic planning, risk management, people security, real estate strategy and the enablement of collaboration and productivity tools across the firm.

How We’re Organized


Workplace Experience - Encompasses the comprehensive onsite workplace experience, how people interact with the workplace, on and off-site events and our overall location strategy. Departments include Events, Real Estate Strategy, Real Estate Development and On-Site Solutions, which is comprised of Document Management, Facilities, Ground Transportation and Hospitality.


Spend Management - Encompasses the functions responsible for managing all aspects of the firm's spend with third parties -- advising commercial agreements, managing third party and payment risk and driving operating efficiency. Departments include Product Finance, Strategic Sourcing, Third Party Governance, Procure to Pay, Integrated Travel and Expense and Infrastructure and Transformation.


CWS Engineering - Aligns several engineering functions focused on collaboration and productivity tools. Departments include Digital Workplace, Client and Production Engineering, Corporate Engineering, Spend, Data and Automation and Product Success and Delivery Engineering.


Office of Global Security (OGS) - Protects the people and assets of Goldman Sachs to ensure a safe and secure environment. Assesses risk to enable the delivery of effective security, fire and life safety protocols and leads crisis management preparation, implementation and recovery processes. Includes Physical Security & Investigations, Executive Protection, Fire Safety and Crisis Management.


Divisional Management (COO) - Aligns division-wide functions to drive strategic cohesiveness, consistency and efficiency. Departments include Business Unit Management, Communications and User Engagement, Risk and Environmental, Social & Governance.



The Strategic Sourcing team is responsible for driving the execution of strategic priorities, including firm’s operating efficiency and supplier diversity targets, as it relates to the Firm’s relationships with vendors.  We partner with Engineering leadership as well as various stakeholders across the firm on all software/SaaS, cloud compute, server and end-user hardware, storage, telecommunications, multi-media, and data center/co-location engagements.  As a result, we are actively involved in the entirety of the vendor relationship lifecycle – from strategy to procurement to payment. 

The Strategic Sourcing leadership role is a role that requires commercial leadership and vision, industry and sector expertise, extensive internal and external collaboration with a number of constituents, and implementation of best practices and sound judgement to arrive at the right outcomes for the firm.


  • Lead a global team of sourcing and procurement professionals focusing on procurement of products and services in the technology infrastructure category, including server and end-user hardware, storage, data center, multi-media, and telecommunications.
  • Create and execute category strategies for sourcing and procurement of products and services in alignment with the firm’s goals and priorities.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in the Engineering and business-aligned organizations.
  • Build strategic relationships with key suppliers of critical products and services.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with various risk management partners, such as Legal, Finance, Information Security, Compliance, and others to ensure firm's vendor management policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Lead/oversee contract and commercial negotiations for infrastructure-related products and services globally.
  • Oversee creation financial analysis of pending transactions, including review of total cost of ownership and return on investment analyses. 
  • Liaise across Engineering leadership, business and relationship managers to identify and escalate vendor/client sensitivities, commercial and relationship opportunities.
  • Responsible for tracking of and reporting on strategic vendor management activities, spend and other trends of strategic vendors, understanding impact across firm/business units 


Basic Qualifications:

  • Have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Technology commercial and contract negotiation, with a minimum of 3 years in a sourcing leadership role.
  • Possess strong communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively at various levels of organization.
  • Demonstrate track record in delivering results in a highly dynamic and demanding environment.
  • Exhibit ability to navigate through complex situations.
  • Be a strong team player, with proven ability to work effectively across multiple teams and levels within the organization.
  • Expected candidate will be brought in at a VP level.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with the SAP Spend Management suite of products, including Ariba
  • Prior experience in the financial services industry.
  • Prior experience with well-known enterprise vendors.
  • Prior technical experience or in-depth understanding of technical concepts
