We are looking for an experienced product designer for the Goldman Sachs Financial Cloud to join our team. You will be responsible for playing a key role in designing complex data-rich experiences across web, desktop & mobile for the Goldman Sachs Developer community for a variety of client segments across Consumer, Institutional, Small Business and Corporates. Throughout the design process—from creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes—you’ll envision how people will experience our products, and bring that vision to life across

As a Product Designer, you’ll rely on user-centered design methods to craft user experiences from paper prototypes to production. The Product Designer is a key member of the GS Product Development organization and you’ll collaborate with your design partners to leverage and evolve the GS Design System to build innovative and inspired products that developers will embrace.

How will you fulfill your potential?

Product Designers at Goldman Sachs get involved across the design process – from engaging with stakeholders and working out what to build, to collaborating with highly skilled user researchers, product managers and some of the world’s best engineers to design and refine product concepts, and seeing them through to production; delivering digital products that delight our users while satisfying the firm’s business goals.  You will be adept at communicating with a variety of different stakeholders, and able to convey ideas effectively to those audiences. Your passion for design and innovation will be infectious and you’ll be able to demonstrate how you balance innovation & creative thinking with tight business constraints to provide solutions that drive real business value. You will:

  • Collaborate and interact with product managers, technical leads, engineers and other product design team members to identify product opportunities and create compelling interfaces 
  • Define product design strategies for established and green-field products and platforms
  • Undertake user research and synthesize insights that inform product roadmaps
  • Participate in product design refinement and revision based on the outcome of user validation sessions, and inputs and suggestions from the product team
  • Produce wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and production quality designs that effectively communicate design directions and detailed designs
  • Participate in multiple Product Design team led initiatives and firmwide initiatives in order to communicate the value of product design
  • Contribute to the Product Design team in multiple internal initiatives, and contribute to growth of the team members and the overall team's goals 
  • Actively participate in the growth of team members through knowledge sharing sessions and by creating a culture of sharing & learning


Basic qualifications:

  • 8+ years industry experience in digital product design
  • Experience designing and shipping large-scale product releases
  • Passion for solving complex large-scale problems
  • Experience working on enterprise platforms that leverage a large enterprise design systems
  • Expertise in industry standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Invision, Adobe and Axure.
  • Understanding of web standards, capabilities and best practices (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)
  • PORTFOLIO REQUIRED: Please include a link to your online portfolio or attach work samples.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in design, human factors, industrial design, or related fields
  • Domain expertise in the financial sector or developer platforms
