Neon is the firm's strategic search engine, which understands contextual natural language and is built in-house with the ability to handle petabyte scale structured and unstructured data. Our team's ​mission is to organize and understand all the firm's information ranging from financial documents, textual and voice communications , to structured transactions. We are the team to be in if your interest is in information retrieval, natural language understanding, and building large scale systems.

 

Role

The Neon was initially developed to satisfy Compliance requirements for various investigations and forensics. In 2020, Neon expanded to power search requests of Global Markets Division prime brokerage clients and in 2021 became firm’s strategic search solution. This role is for an experience, technically strong and hands on Vice President with experience of working with senior stakeholders. The role will require to manage US team and: (i) work on with various businesses to implement Neon, and (ii) provide global client support     

 

Skills

  1. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar field of study.
  2. Expertise in any programming language.
  3. Strong communication and presentation skills e.g. ability (and tenacity) to clearly express ideas and arguments in meetings and on paper
  4. Experience in working with senior stakeholders
  5. Experience in managing the global team
  6. Experience in at least one of the following:
    1. Distributed systems design
    2. message buses or real time processing,
    3. large-scale system design, such as on Hadoop/Hbase,
    4. Hadoop internals, hadoop security, yarn, hdfs, map reduce, zookeeper
    5. data mining or search,
    6. information retrieval,
    7. natural language processing,
