RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Job Summary 

IBS Management oversees the Investment Banking Division’s client franchise and coverage salesforce. Our IBS bankers are responsible for developing a trusted advisor relationship with our 11,000+ clients around the world and bringing the best of Goldman Sachs to help advise on mergers, provide financing solutions, and structure public offerings. As a member of IBS Management, you will play an integral role in executing strategies to build and enhance our client relationships and ensure the success of our franchise. In this capacity, you will have broad exposure to all levels of seniority within the division and across the firm and assume significant responsibilities.

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Work closely with IBS leadership on executing client coverage strategies to deepen our client relationships and grow our franchise, including through technology uplifts
  • Lead various analyses and draw insights to help drive growth and profitability for the division by leveraging data across our client footprint
  • Foster the IBS Community through, e.g., weekly meetings, monthly Next Gen sessions, monthly masterclasses, monthly IBS Captain sessions and annual strategy offsite, as well as social engagements
  • Create content, talking points and presentation materials, and other prep materials for senior leadership for internal and external audiences
  • Assist in supporting Global Head of IBS / Co-Head of One GS and Chief of Staff with prep for various meetings across responsibilities and teams, media engagement, and client/internal engagement
  • Liaise with stakeholders across the firm, including the Executive Office, Global Investment Research, and Private Wealth Management, to develop and implement key initiatives for the division and for One GS

 

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manipulate and draw conclusions from data, particularly within Excel and Tableau
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Refined leadership and organization skills, able to seamlessly execute across multiple workstreams and stakeholders
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, innovative and goal-oriented
  • High EQ, ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships internally and externally
  • Knowledge of the Investment Banking Division and core functions
  • Competency with Microsoft Office (especially Powerpoint and Excel), S&P Capital IQ, Tableau, and Salesforce
