The Executive Office plays an integral role in setting and advancing Goldman Sachs’ corporate strategy, and in preserving the firm’s distinctive culture. We are responsible for safeguarding the firm’s relationship with alumni, clients, shareholders, policy makers, and the broader public, while ensuring that our own people remain informed about the firm’s evolving priorities. We also partner with the businesses to source high-impact opportunities in line with the firm’s social and sustainability agendas.


As the Associate Paid Media, Global Media Management, you will help drive global media strategies and best practices. Reporting to our VP Global Media Transformation and Best Practices and using your media planning expertise, you will work closely with our agency to create and manage best in class approaches both globally and firm-wide. This will be through audience insights, channel recommendations, innovation opportunities and other thought leadership POVs, guidelines, etc. You will partner with a cross functional team of stakeholders, including regional and local media teams, insights and analytics teams, our agency ecosystem and our media partners and platforms. You will also support the VP in important work streams like agency contracts, media audits, media landscapes, trends and test and learn plans.

Key Responsibilities


  • Partners with our Media Agency of Record on advanced media strategies for our major priorities to drive effective results
  • Works with regional/divisional media leaders within GS and at the agency to drive consistent media best practices
  • Manage timelines, deliverables and partnerships with 3rd parties + agencies for key global projects that fulfil needs across the firm
  • Work directly with our Global Insights and Analytics team and agency around our priority audiences and their unique media needs and channels
  • Creates media POV’s with the agency driven by audience insights and customer journeys
  • Co-leads media innovation with global media partners that scale in regions
  • Partners with our Global Media Research, Measurement and Analytics team to implement best in class measurement methods to understand marketing’s influence on our business outcomes and optimize our investments
  • Partner with internal teams including, insights and analytics and agency teams on agency accountable compensation metrics and methods that tie performance to compensation.
  • Manages consolidated budget trackers across divisions for all media spending by platform / publisher, along with agency budgets and reconciliation with finance and controllership for retainers, bonuses, audits and third-party tracking



  • 6-8 years of experience in paid media strategy and planning, in either an agency or in-house paid media role
  • Campaign experience with media plans that span multiple channels, including social media, brand partnerships, digital (display, SEM, programmatic), OTT / video
  • Knowledge and understanding of media planning principles, including target audience creation, channel planning strategy, media analysis and budget management.
  • Detail-oriented problem-solver who is able to employ sound judgement, critical thinking and swift decision making with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with matrixed organizations and/or global brands at a media agency or as a media client. Must have strong internal and external partnership skills, a collaborative approach to driving results and a desire to challenge the status quo.
  • Experienced, results-oriented leader with a proven track record of driving results with media agency partners.
  • Someone who thrives on creative problem solving and pulling theory into action by articulating specific steps and responsibilities across cross functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
  • Team-oriented, with confidence in interaction with multiple stakeholders and external partners
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure; able to manage and execute effectively on multiple, time-sensitive projects, with keen sense of urgency
  • Hands-on Paid Media experience in Financial Services or a relevant media focused industry (eg. Consumer Tech, Entertainment, Retail).
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS)
