What we do

Strategists (also known as ‘Strats’) play important roles in portfolio design and construction, surveillance and risk management analytics, and valuation/stress-testing of illiquid products. A strategist will build scalable extensible platform that use quantitative and analytical methods to provide solutions to critical business problems.

Who We Look For

Goldman Sachs Engineers are innovators and problem-solvers, building solutions in risk management, big data, mobile and more. We look for creative collaborators who evolve, adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced global environment.

Your impact

As a strategist, you will build high performance analytical platforms to provide insights on investor/investment returns and to help our business grow. Strat team members will assume responsibility for developing both analytics and the applications for interacting with those analytics.  Strats are given ample opportunity to collaborate with the business to define creative solutions and develop novel analytical methods. The daily interactions with other team members across geographies demands an ability to communicate clearly about complex financial, business, and computational concepts. You will create advanced computational architectures and applications to meet the challenges of a rapidly growing and evolving business, with a strong focus on long term sustainability and extensibility through continuous deployment, automated testing, and thorough data modeling.
