Goldman Sachs is seeking to fill a Senior Technical Specialist position to be part of the ETO Platform Services Runtime Team. The team provides support for Critical Applications to Technology Infrastructure engineering teams engaged to develop, integrate and manage a broad set of core technology infrastructure components. 

This role forms part of the Production Services Management for Firmwide Critical Application Support that provide technical supports for applications critical to the running of the firm.  The successful candidate will be required to provide Specialist Support for the critical infrastructure products, such as, Autosys/Job scheduling systems like CRON, NIS, Apache, Tomcat, Public/Private Cloud, Secure File Transfer systems and drive governance with the platform standards for all the Linux as well as liaise with key stakeholders locally with regards to application lifecycle and environment management. The successful candidate will work as part of a global team and be the primary contact for Asia across critical infrastructure products set. Candidate will be responsible for driving standardization, product support, and adhering to development best practices as well as driving architectural direction. The individual must be highly motivated to work independently and drive forward technical solutions under pressure, liaise with engineering and user in a global context.



  • Systems Application support and escalations for Distributed Scheduling and Wavefront  products
  • Work actively with technology teams to analyze and resolve Application failures
  • Identify defects, discrepancies, and trends by ways of troubleshooting 
  • Infrastructure support of products and systems to enable automation and help improve and achieving efficiency
  • Understand the regional dependencies and drive the regional technical requirements
  • Provide application lifecycle support for critical GS Internet facing applications with continuous focus on improvement and performance measurement
  • Meet regulatory obligations – Internal & External Audits, privilege management (re)certification.
  • Incident management and reporting of production outages, root cause analysis & follow-ups.
  • Build and maintain relationships with various GS technology and business organizations.
  • Contribute to the technical understanding and promotion of new and existing standards, solutions, and tools.
  • Local change management and incident management representation for critical infrastructure products
  • Interface directly to the local client base, executing their requirements within a global framework.


  • 6+ years of work experience on LINUX system platforms.
  • Good Linux Scripting/Development skills - Perl, Bash, JAVA, Python
  • Good knowledge in any of technologies Autosys/Job scheduling systems like CRON, NIS, Apache, Tomcat, any RDBMS like DB/ MS-SQL/Oracle/Sybase, Public/Private Cloud, Secure File Transfer systems
  • Good Knowledge of SDLC, CVS, SVN, GIT, Docker and Jenkins
  • ITIL and ITSM experience a plus
  • Excellent soft skills & Communication (Verbal and Written)
  • Must be willing to work in rotational shifts.
  • Ability to Multi task in high paced environment
  • Problem Solver and To-Do attitude, ability to face technical challenges and drive solution
  • Global clients facing Support team experience a plus
  • Able to work within a Global team, prior experience a plus
  • Having worked in environment supporting 10000+ servers a plus
  • Prior experience with Financial Institution a plus
  • Multiple Application Support Experience a plus
