The Managed Web Platform team is responsible for platforms to help deliver digital products to our clients. We are product driven and developer focused; our goal to simplify web application development.

As a member of the Managed Web Platform team, you will be responsible for building a cloud-native "batteries-included" solution for the web engineers at the firm. Managed Site Hosting makes it trivial to deploy and host scalable secure internal and external websites with zero meetings, tickets, or emails.


You will be responsible for building and executing challenging projects across a number of initiatives. You will take leadership role in the design, development, coding and testing of managed site hosting services in public cloud, enabling teams across Goldman Sachs deploy and host their web properties seamlessly. You will lead by example with hands-on participation in all aspects of the software development lifecycle. You will work with key stakeholders and other development teams to get requirements and convert them into deliverables. You will learn new technologies, working on constantly upgrading your skill-set and the products you work on to be at-par with the best in the industry. You will innovate and solve technical challenges in an effective manner that emphasizes a long-term vision.

Your responsibilities will also include the following

  • Contribute as a Senior Engineer by mentoring others, delegating work and assignments to junior team members and participate in project planning.
  • Design, develop and manage services in public cloud
  • Architect safe, resilient and highly-available distributed services
  • Write technical specifications, work with several teams and manage technical dependencies and drive design meetings with various stakeholders for consensus
  • Collaborate with other platform engineering teams and see if we can leverage their solution to provide specialized functionality in our platform


  • 6+ years for relevant work experience in a platform or SRE team in a SaaS environment and supporting mission critical services
  • 2+ years of experience with architecting, designing, or developing applications using public cloud providers like Amazon Web Services
  • Knowledge and experience of software development lifecycle and infrastructure-as-code tooling, such as Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK
  • Proficiency with cloud network architectures (using VPC, Load balancers etc.) and the integration with hybrid cloud networking
  • Proficiency in designing, developing, and testing software in one or more of Java, JavaScript/TypeScript or Python; open to using and learning multiple languages
  • Expertise with container platforms like Docker, ECS, EKS and automation with scripting languages
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC build tools like GitLab and shift-left continual deployment approaches
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
  • Superior interpersonal, communication and organization skills
  • Ability to work on multiple project simultaneously in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Self-motivated and self-managed with a high degree of analytical ability, innovation and intellectual curiosity


  • Experience in leading small technical teams, mentoring and/or coaching individuals
  • Experience with security, isolation and multi-tenant design of distributed cloud services
  • Familiarity with authentication and authorization tools and providers like IAM, OPA, Identity Federation etc.
  • Experience with Cloud data services like AWS S3 and Cloud monitoring practices/technologies like AWS Cloud Watch
  • Understanding of RESTful API design best practices and experience in developing them
  • Experience working with Content Delivery Networks like Akamai, CloudFront
