Vice President, Financial Health Program Manager Job Description

Role Description: The Consumer Wealth Management strategy team is seeking an experienced Program Manager to join the team in New York and focus on building out the financial health pillar of GS' new and high profile One Million Black Women initiative. "OMBW" was launched in March 2021 as a 10-year, $10B investment initiative to address the dual disproportionate gender and racial biases that Black women have faced for generations. Financial health is an integral component of the One Million Black Women strategy and cuts across the initiative's other investing pillars – housing, education, healthcare, workforce advancement, access to capital and digital connectivity. In building out the financial health pillar, the program team will explore the intersection of product, content, and partnership ideas to deliver a meaningful platform with the goal of reaching Black women and families. A successful platform for financial health will be distinctive and differentiating; customized and intentional for our audience; and reflective of the unique business and brand attributes of Goldman Sachs.

The VP Program manager will:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee the One Million Black Women financial health strategy
    • Partner internally across GS to build products and programs that align with the One Million Black Women initiative and leverage existing or new Goldman Sachs products, services, and other assets
    • Evaluate external partners, companies, and like-minded organizations to structure partnerships that further the goals of the strategy
    • Collaborate with the broader OMBW team at Goldman Sachs to weave financial health into the other investing pillars as well as the rhythm of events, announcements, and new initiatives
    • Bring together marketing, communications, government relations, and other GS stakeholders to develop a holistic approach to program content creation and amplification
  • Explore, innovate, and evolve the financial health pillar over the life of OMBW, focused on metrics and measuring impact
  • Participate as a member of the CWM Strategy team on divisional goal setting and projects that touch the OMBW financial health effort

  • 10+ years of relevant experience coming from financial services, consulting, non-profits, or related role/field. Direct connection to financial literacy/health/advisory experience.
  • Proven experience building original programs and audience-first externally facing initiatives from the ground up
  • Strong project management skills; highly organized with strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through
  • Problem solver and creative thinker, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Comfort and ability to present complex material in front of stakeholders
  • Results-oriented -- ability to handle multiple, time-sensitive projects while focusing on the quality of work delivered
  • Flexibility to work across various projects and with different stakeholders desire
