CONSUMER (MARCUS BY GOLDMAN SACHS)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Reconciliation Analyst:

Marcus, a division of Goldman Sachs, is seeking an entry level operations manager within our Reconciliation team. The Reconciliation team is an integral part the customer experience by providing payment issue remediation by researching and resolving G/L breaks, and ad-hoc questions. The candidate must be able to understand transactional processes and how those affect a general ledger. 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team and ensure a team environment is maintained. Be engaging and motivating
  • Oversee the reconciliation of general ledgers and sub-ledgers, and transaction adjustments and postings
  • Be a point of contact for internal inquiries, process enhancements, and escalations
  • Communicate and regularly attend meetings with internal and external customers or partners to explain recon issues

 

Qualifications:

  • High School degree, college degree preferred
  • 2+ years of people management experience in an operations environment
  • Good understanding of basic banking, check payments, wires and ACH and Bill Pay
  • Prior reconciliation, bookkeeping, or accounting experience
  • Prior experience working with General Ledgers, Sub-ledgers, and posting journal entries
  • Strong analytical skills, and problem solving ability with a desire to research and resolve discrepancies
  • Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, V-LookUp, and formulas)
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure with shifting priorities
