Our goal at Marcus by Goldman Sachs is to help customers better manage their finances, by launching and managing successful digital lending products and experiences.  You will help create products and product features based on deep customer and market insights in an agile, digital environment.

If so, this role is for you. We are seeking a product strategy professional to join the MarcusPay Product & Partnership Strategy team to help us enhance and grow our point of sale business.     



  • Define, launch, and manage new point of sale lending product features and enhancements, from market and consumer research and business case to implementation that achieve customer, growth, and P&L goals
  • Effectively manage current and new merchant partnerships and drive business results
  • Conduct customer research, market and competitor analysis to understand consumer needs/pain points and market opportunities
  • Understand drivers of P&L performance and identify opportunities for enhancement
  • Promote a seamless and compelling multi-channel customer experience through all touchpoints of the customer journey 
  • Ensure unique and consistent positioning of the product in the marketplace
  • Partner closely with Product Management to ensure product features and experiences are built in an agile environment as defined


  • 4+ years of product strategy, payments, or partner management experience in a fast paced, agile product development environment
  • Previous experience with consumer fintech, lending products/services, and/or payments
  • Prior experience working with cross-functional teams across Product Management, Marketing, and Legal
  • Proven analytical skills and problem solving ability paired with attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player who takes ownership of and accountability for projects
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to effectively manage competing priorities
  • Aptitude for building relationships that enable smooth interactions in internal business collaborations
  • Strong leadership skills and passion for motivating and developing a talented team
  • Ability to communicate complex issues to a wide array of internal stakeholders
  • Desire to work in a fast paced environment, consistently adhering to strict deadlines and evolving priorities
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL
  • Bachelor’s / Undergraduate Degree


  • Fintech lending / payments industry experience
  • Technical knowledge (including SQL) a plus
