RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Dallas, TX. Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly accounting and reporting packages, including fund-level net asset values and investor capital statements for private equity investment funds. Prepare ad hoc reporting requests, management fee analysis, cash flow analysis, and provide assistance with audit and financial reporting related requests. Prepare and book journal entries relating to daily cash activity, investment activity, currency purchases/exchanges, swap settings, debt payments, fund expenses, and investor contributions and distributions. Prepare period-end close transactions including mark-to-market valuation and foreign currency adjustments, accruals, and other transactions.

 

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Accounting/Accountancy, Finance or a related field. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have three (3) years of experience with: core accounting functions, such as reviewing and/or booking journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and performing account analysis; accounting Excel functions, including vlookup, sum and count functions; communicating to internal and external stakeholders and be able to articulate the financial information in a clear and concise manner; prioritizing and managing his/her workload – including working on concurrent deadline-driven projects - such that accounting/reporting deadlines are consistently met without exception; private equity funds or Public Accounting; accounting for foreign currency transactions; and general ledgers.
