RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Electronic Options Trading offers US electronic derivatives execution & trading services to Goldman Sachs' global institutional, hedge fund, systematic and broker-dealer clients. Electronic sales and coverage provides real-time trading expertise and market structure insight to facilitate client order flow throughout the pre-trade, intra-trade, and post-trade decision-making process. GS offers a comprehensive suite of trading solutions for clients, including algorithmic trading, direct market access (DMA) and low latency.  The electronic options team is based in New York, reporting to High Touch Derivatives Sales with a dotted-line reporting to Electronic Trading (GSET).  The team also works closely with Prime Brokerage, Clearing, Electronic Futures, MAPS and Cross Asset Sales (CAS).

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with GSET and High Touch Derivatives Sales to increase algorithmic trading order flow and client mind share
  • Develop a deep technical knowledge and understanding of our options algorithm suite and TCA offering. Be able to communicate how to best position the GS product across a broad and diverse client base
  • Consult with clients and our strats to help devise and implement algorithmic solutions enhancements based on the required trading strategy and objectives
  • Provide daily support for clients on electronic order flow. Develop close relationships with clients to ensure their experience with the product is positive and value added to their business.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of, or experience in, electronic trading and markets
  • Basic understanding of algorithmic versus direct market access (DMA) execution
  • Ability to work well with others and interact with sales, clients and strategists
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize tasks accordingly
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • 2-5 years experience
