The Asset Management Division (AMD) Legal Associate position presents an opportunity for talented and motivated candidates with an interest in private equity and law. The role involves working directly with the attorneys in AMD Legal and the businesses supported by AMD Legal.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for an individual with the following skills/qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage simultaneous matters under deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; the ability to articulate ideas clearly
  • Highly motivated and adaptable; the ability to work on a team of diverse individuals
  • Proactive; the ability to respond creatively and quickly in a fast-paced, high-pressure, changing environment
  • Accurate and detail-oriented with sound judgment and integrity
  • Keen interest in legal frameworks and finance/private equity
  • Experience with legal entity formation and knowledge of legal entity structures are a plus

Responsibilities will include:

  • All aspects of legal entity creation, maintenance and dissolution including drafting/reviewing formation/governing documents and resolutions
  • Assisting with management of global entity database
  • Fielding internal and external inquiries regarding AMD corporate information
  • Assisting with anti-money laundering/KYC requests
  • Coordinating information across the firm for anti-trust filings and working with outside counsel in connection with anti-trust filings
  • Responding to regulatory-related requests and reviewing certain documents for compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Performing various other governance related tasks, as needed
