What We Do

FICC Systematic Market Making is Goldman’s take on low-latency electronic trading in Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities. We develop proprietary algorithms to execute our clients’ orders and engineer automated pricing solutions in order to provide liquidity in numerous markets across the globe.

  • We manage Terabytes of data
  • 24x7 highly available systems
  • Co-located datacenters with all major exchanges
  • Billions of dollars’ worth of transactions
  • We execute trades for most financial firms on the street

Production Engineering 

  • Front-office team with direct P&L impact.
  • Responsible for designing system architecture and deployment
  • Ensure performance, scalability and reliability of our systems.
  • Work closely with the different app dev teams to advise on the architecture and hardware.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Who We Look For
We are looking for experienced systems engineers who have an intimate knowledge of Linux, Networking and Software so as to get the best performance from the systems. We are looking for polyglot engineers that can quickly learn and advise on our high-frequency systems.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in several of the following: Python, C, C++, Java, or shell scripting
  • Ability to learn quickly.
  • Experience with Linux operating system internals and/or networking concepts.
  • Experience with distributed systems design, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with debugging and optimizing code, as well as automation.
  • Coding beyond simple scripts.
  • Knowledge of financial markets
