Are you a motivated, collaborative individual with a passion for investment management, looking for the opportunity to support a fast-paced team? We are seeking a driven professional with strong writing, communication and project management skills to work alongside the Private Wealth Management (“PWM”) Request for Proposal (“RFP”) Team.

An RFP is a questionnaire that a potential client issues when considering hiring a new investment management provider. The RFP response that we develop is often the critical first step in the institutional sales process.

Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (PWM) specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for high net worth individuals and families, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments. PWM Teams work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from our deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities and global reach. Our Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of Goldman Sachs and beyond, which may include tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning and private banking and lending services. As client needs evolve, this close relationship allows the team to offer complementary services and new opportunities by leveraging the resources of Goldman Sachs and beyond.



PWM is looking for an RFP Writer (Request for Proposal) who is a highly motivated, team-oriented individual. The role offers an excellent opportunity to develop an in-depth knowledge of the Private Wealth Management business.


The RFP Writer will respond to informational requests from institutional prospects and clients, working closely with our Advisors and members of the Portfolio Management Team, Compliance, Legal and other internal business units.


Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with Advisors, the Portfolio Management Team and other content specialists to develop appropriate responses to address particular prospect and client requests
  • Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of RFP responses including quality oversight and peer reviews
  • Maintaining and updating the RFP language repository
  • Assisting with ad-hoc inquiries from PWM Advisory Teams globally
  • Contributing to the evolution of RFP the process, technology, projects and resources




  • Basic knowledge of, and passion for, the investment management business and capital markets
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and excellent project management skills
  • Detail-oriented with critical reading, writing and editing skills, strong time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple deadlines
  • Positive attitude and work ethic
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate well, build trust and confidence of colleagues, strengthen relationships through ongoing dialogue and interactions, and collaborate well with others internally to meet prospect and client needs
  • Confidence to work in a fast-paced team environment to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong skills in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Undergraduate degree
