As the Head of our Product Strategy and Operations on our PFMG Product team, a new high priority focus area, you will envision the future of the high-net worth product for Goldman Sachs clients.  A new business line for the firm that has historically targeted only ultra-high net worth individuals, we are now expanding to serve a much broader clientele. 


You will be supporting the Head of Product of PFMG, and hold a range of responsibilities that lay the foundation for success of the team and the business.  Specific duties include but are not limited to: creating forums and governance for effective executive updates (and the corresponding materials), managing the overall budget of the business, onboarding new team members, ensuring we have scalable, repeatable processes across our product development process.


You are strong at execution, and able to collaborate across business partners to not only help create our vision and strategy, but also execute on it.  You are a jack of all trades, and can dig-in wherever is most needed.

Goldman Sachs Personal Financial Management (GS PFM) specializes in creating personalized wealth management plans for affluent individuals and families. We give clients clarity, confidence and control over their financial decisions. Our dedicated team of advisors across approximately 100 offices throughout the U.S., develops and implements personalized plans tailored to each client's values and life goals. Our advisors offer an investment platform inclusive of products and services offered by Goldman Sachs and other third parties, including private banking and lending offerings.   • Develop the vision for products by analyzing market research and client or advisor insights
  • Create compelling executive update materials
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, and others to execute on our client and advisor experiences
  • Manage the overall budget of our business, and resource allocation
  • Ensure effective onboarding for all team members
  • Drive and prepare ROI driven business cases
  • Stay close to industry trends and apply innovative concepts to the product as appropriate


PFMG business spans the country, with the following locations in the United States: Atlanta (GA), Boston (MA), Canonsburg (PA), Chicago (IL), Cincinnati (OH), Cohoes (NY), Dallas (TX), Deerfield (IL), Irvine (CA), Houston (TX), Latham (NY), Los Angeles (CA), Minneapolis (MN), New York (NY), Parsippany (NJ), Philadelphia (PA), San Francisco (CA), Saratoga Springs (NY), Seattle (WA), Troy (MI), Washington, D.C. (DC) and West Palm Beach (FL)


  • Bachelors’ degree required.
  • 10+ years’ experience in strategy or product management
  • Ability to extrapolate business needs given a problem statement and a base understanding of the capabilities of available technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter, with a focus on execution
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus across a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Experience with launching major new products, ideally in a commercial setting
  • Basic knowledge of product marketing concepts
  • Strong collaboration and negotiation skills
  • Experience working in finance, banking or insurance industries a plus
  • Passionate about solving customer problems
  • BA/BS degree (MBA preferred)
