RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Vice President with Goldman Sachs Bank USA in Richardson, Texas. The Development Operations Automation & Systems Engineering team is responsible for building highly available solution that can scale globally across a multitude of digital, consumer facing, financial products. Interact closely with Application Development Engineers, Technology and Critical Infrastructure teams and vendor teams to ensure that the solutions being implemented are scalable and highly automated, from infrastructure provisioning to code deployment, and support. Answer support calls as needed, release code to production, contribute back to the firms’ infrastructure automation capabilities and collaborate closely with teams within and across the firm. Develop and monitor application and infrastructure metrics to drive continuous improvement of application stability. Triage production issues and ensure bug fixes and infrastructure improvements ultimately make it to production. Drive consistent processes and architecture patterns in the production engineering space to create robust and supportable automation and reporting tools.

 

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.  Seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role.  Must include seven (7) years of experience with:  Software Development in a Linux environment, Shell scripting, Jython or Python; Working with Agile development methodology; Building large complex interconnected regulated systems; Performing development activities for DevOps practices for projects, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, continuous testing, and continuous monitoring; Using one of the following Jenkins, Bamboo, BitBucket, Chef, Ansible, or Github; Deploying code to production systems and building out blue/green deployment infrastructure and accompanying automation techniques; and Using Stacks including Tomcat, Websphere, and Oracle database. Prior experience must include two (2) years with: Leading and training junior team members.  Prior experience must include one (1) year with: Instrumenting Wily or AppDynamics, monitoring and reporting on platform performance using Splunk; and Monitoring SRE metrics- using tools including elastic search and splunk.
