What We Do
As a strategist who sits in the Securities Division, you will play an integral role in the success of the Division. You will help the Securities Division comply with the various regulatory policies that have been enacted in recent years—Volcker, Dodd-Frank, etc. You will build calculators to model risks and scenario analysis, and gain a deep understanding of regulatory requirements. You will have an opportunity to help make the Division more efficient, and work with senior traders who review the results of these models and impact their business.
The team has unique vantage into the workings of the entire division. As such we get to see all the business’ (Fixed Income, Currencies, Commodities, Equities) that comprise the Division, as well as insight into both the market making side and investing side of the business. Due to the environment and team makeup, we have more exposure and connectivity to more in the division than most other Strats.
Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to provide banking, securities, and asset management services to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and controls to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and its reputation. For every new product launched and every trade executed, it is Operations that develops and manages the processes and controls that enable business flow.
You are looking to join a fast-paced, dynamic team that has broad connectivity across the firm for a franchise critical process. You will collaborate with cross-Federation teams and across the globe to manage the firm’s cash payments and receipts each day. You have a strong desire to learn about the firms different businesses and how they support our client and manage business risks, as well as work closely with a network of key banks and internal payments team to ensure smooth execution.
Treasury Services is a global, multi-faceted and cross product team within Operations. The primary objective of the team is to deliver smooth payments execution and reconciliation, and tying it back to tight ledger integrity. Treasury Services has regional presence in Salt Lake City, New York, London, Warsaw, Bangalore, Singapore, and Tokyo. Payment Operations serves as the firm’s central bank for processing and managing all incoming and outgoing cash movements, and monitoring transactions for compliance to legal and regulatory requirements. Our team also works actively in the payment regulation and payment infrastructure space.

The Consumer and Investment Management Division includes Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), Private Wealth Management (PWM) and our Consumer business (Marcus by Goldman Sachs). - Serve as 2nd level escalation tier for servicing, collections, fraud, onboarding and back office related complaints
- Exceed all quality standards and customer expectations of great service
- Consistently uphold all compliance and regulatory standards in customer dealing
- Provide excellent customer service and provide answers to client questions within set standards
- Follow up on unfavorable surveys responses to understand root cause and remediate/escalate as needed
- Serve as customer advocate for non -regulatory complaints
- Participate in the planning of small to moderate scope projects
- Assist in tracking and trend analysis of customer complaints to the end that we reduce complaints and consistently improve the customer experience
- Ensure efficiency in case management to ensure Turn Around Time targets exceeded for all business units
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of multiple areas of consumer banking operations
This role will sit in the Loan Asset Management team. In LAM we manage commercial real estate loans, including but not limited to, performing and non-performing senior / junior positions, complex structured finance products and floating rate transitional loans. In addition, there is active sourcing new acquisition opportunities. The candidate will execute these tasks in co-ordination with senior RMD Management and the different GS investment and lending divisions.
