Controllers Divisional Overview: Controllers ensure that the firm meets all the financial control and reporting obligations of a global, regulated and public financial institution. In the Controllers Department, our professionals measure the profitability of, and risks associated with, every aspect of the firm's business. Controllers also ensure that the firm's activities are conducted in compliance with the regulations governing transactions in the financial markets.   This individual will work alongside the experienced VPs in the Accounting Policy team as they liaise with the various business units and corporate functions on applying existing accounting standards and the firm’s accounting policies to transactions and corporate level activities. Individual will be closely involved in assisting in the monitoring and interpreting of various emerging technical accounting issues under U.S. GAAP and assisting in the implementation of new and existing disclosures in SEC filings. As part of the global Accounting Policy team, individual will be exposed to a wide range of both US GAAP literature as well as IFRS and regulatory capital standards. Also, this individual will assist in preparing and maintaining the firm’s accounting policy manual.

The successful applicant will challenge and develop his/her technical skills and expand his/her industry network given the broad range of investment processes he/she will be involved in, within a top-tier global financial institution.   The successful applicant will be a member of the New York-based team, evaluating and managing investments across the Americas and Europe, assisting senior team members to make investment decisions, and training, coaching and supervising junior team members.
