We're a team of specialists charged with managing the firm’s liquidity, capital and risk, and providing the overall financial control and reporting functions. Whether assessing the creditworthiness of the firm’s counterparties, monitoring market risks associated with trading activities, or offering analytical and regulatory compliance support, our work contributes directly to the firm’s success. The Internal Control Reporting and Analysis (ICRA) Team facilitates the firm’s quarterly self-assessment and certification process globally. The primary mission of the ICRA Team is to prepare an auditable evaluation of the firm’s internal control infrastructure, processes and policies to support senior management's certification as required under Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
Key responsibilities of the ICRA Team include the following:
- Own and govern the process for management’s assessment of the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting
- Coordinate the identification and documentation of risks and key controls in all significant product lines and regions
- Review, risk rank, and opine on issues raised through the self-assessment process in conjunction with the appropriate subject matter experts

OUR IMPACT
As a member of the Trading Line Management team, Analyst will be primarily responsible for coordinating and managing the opening and maintenance of derivative trading lines with brokers to support the launch and ongoing management of GSAM Funds and Separate Account Mandates.
The role involves building strong internal relationships with key contacts within the GSAM business, compliance, legal and other operations teams; as well as the opportunity to work closely with our external dealers. The ability to manage multiple deliverables, prioritise, meet deadlines and communicate to all levels of the organisation is critical to this role. Engineers in Controllers Tech ensure the firm meets all of the financial control and reporting obligations of a global, regulated and public financial institution. Product Accounting Reporting, and Analysis (PARA) engineers are responsible for designing and implementing systems to calculate, monitor, validate and report the firm’s profit and loss each day. The PARA system processes all the firm’s trading activity across the vast majority of product lines traded by the firm – everything from simple equities and bonds to complex structured derivatives, commodity products, loan products and more. Our team consists of 11 people in London in a team of around 60 globally, and many projects are cross-location, working closely with our business partners and other engineers across the firm.

The Global Portfolio Solutions (GPS) Group designs and develops comprehensive investment management solutions customized to meet the investment objectives and relevant constraints of the client. Your Impact
The group is looking for a quantitative sales strategist to join the team. Within GPS, you will develop analytics and tools for asset allocation, portfolio construction, trading, risk management and monitoring, as well as generating analytical reports for internal (GPS) and external (clients) use. The developed analytics are made available to strategist and non-strategist members of the GPS team. As such, the tools you may develop need to be robust, accurate and allow scalable, widespread use. Strategist team members will assume responsibility for the developed analytics, and are given ample opportunity to provide creative solutions and develop novel analysis methods and tools. Interactions with other GPS members and clients warrant an ability to communicate clearly about complex financial, business and mathematical concepts.
