ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION: Corporate Treasury Strats team is looking for world class quantitative programmers to work closely with Corporate Treasury partners to employ quantitative analytics to drive optimizations of firm liquidity, cash and collateral management, funds transfer pricing and trade execution strategies. This is an integrated group which both explores new ideas for optimizing the funding management of the firm and also executes trading strategies, all in one team. Corporate Treasury lies at the heart of Goldman Sachs, ensuring that businesses have the appropriate level of funding to conduct their activities, while also optimizing the firm’s funding costs and managing liquidity risks. As part of the Corporate Treasury Engineering team you will be exposed to securities division and banking initiatives, to new business activities, and to critical strategic programs Goldman Sachs pursues to maintain its leadership among global financial institutions. YOUR IMPACT: Corporate Treasury Strats use their engineering and/or scientific background to implement quantitative analytics and management solutions in software. Corporate Treasury Engineering products guide funding sourcing decisions, allocation of financial resources, quantification of funding costs, and strategies to minimize costs and hedge risks. Successful strats are highly analytical, driven to own commercial outcomes, and communicate with precision and clarity. Corporate Treasury Strats welcomes applicants with Master’s or a PhD in financial engineering/financial math; quantitative sciences, e.g. physics, statistics, applied math or other quantitative discipline; or relevant professional experience. Strong analytical skills, mathematical fluency, and programming abilities are required.

The Global Credit Technology organization is a global team responsible for the technology needs of multiple businesses in the micro space of the Fixed Income, Currencies & Commodities (FICC) Division -- including Credit, Mortgages, Municipals, Emerging Markets, and Bank Loans. We are looking to grow our team with motivated and experienced technologists who are eager to work in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will be responsible for building new and innovative solutions in addition to enhancing and supporting our existing trading systems and desktop applications. We have a deep pipeline of business driven project requests aimed at automating trading workflows and increasing our competitive advantage with our clients. Our team utilizes a rich software stack comprised of both open source and proprietary technologies (Slang/SecDb). We use Java to build distributed services and are in the process of redefining how we perform inter-process communication in our services oriented architecture. We are actively migrating away from conventional enterprise solutions like TIBCO Rendezvous (RV) to modern solutions for scalable microservices architectures – like Kafka, REST, Web sockets (Dropwizard, Vert.X). Our architecture’s middle tier is migrating towards in-memory data grids like Hazelcast We are investing in HTML5, JavaScript, Angular to build modern desktops for market making, market data aggregation, trade booking, risk, and data analytics. Client Onboarding Technology is a global, multi-disciplinary team responsible for software products that safely, efficiently, and transparently bring new client relationships into the firm and ensure those relationships remain compliant with all internal and external regulatory policies and firm requirements. Partnering with colleagues from Technology, the Federation and all revenue divisions, COB Tech models all processes from inception through configured-to-trade. Using business intelligence gathered from these models, the team identifies and resolves bottlenecks in the flow though automation - including rules-driven decision making, machine learning, and natural language parsing.The successful candidate will initially assume technical responsibility for design and development of one of our flagship products, Agreement Management: Agreement Management Tech team is in the first year of a multi-year program to transform the agreement management process both within the firm and more broadly in the industry. The agreement management program aims to bring significant efficiency and automation in the agreement management BAU and regulatory re-papering exercises.

YOUR IMPACT
The candidate will be a key addition to the Technology Risk Audit Assurance Team, which oversees management of the firm’s SOX Section 404 and SOC-1 and SOC 2 technology controls and Audit Assurance program. The program ensures that controls are functioning properly, breaks are quickly identified, and deficiencies are resolved through continuous risk assessments, robust testing, control evaluation, and paperwork documentation. The Team works closely with external auditors, internal stakeholders, and other audit representatives to provide comprehensive risk and controls analysis and an integrated control and risk program.
Goldman Sachs has one of the most progressive Technology Risk teams in the industry and is continuing to push the development of risk in preference to security within technology and the business. Year on year success has led the team to work deeper into the organization and gain valuable insights into how technology needs to function, what its risk really is and how this impacts the business.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
The candidate’s responsibilities will include overseeing key aspects of the audit assurance program and managing and empowering a small team of highly dedicated individuals.
The candidate will be expected to communicate audit findings to management, identify areas of improvement in the design and effectiveness of key controls including automation; build and relationships with internal and external stakeholders, establish a culture of collaboration, and stay up-to-date with industry and regulatory changes.

GLOBAL COMPLIANCE
Our division prevents, detects and mitigates compliance, regulatory and reputational risk across the firm and helps to strengthen the firm’s culture of compliance. Compliance accomplishes these through the firm’s enterprise-wide compliance risk management program. As an independent control function and part of the firm’s second line of defense, Compliance assesses the firm’s compliance, regulatory and reputational risk; monitors for compliance with new or amended laws, rules and regulations; designs and implements controls, policies, procedures and training; conducts independent testing; investigates, surveils and monitors for compliance risks and breaches; and leads the firm’s responses to regulatory examinations, audits and inquiries. You'll be part of a team with members from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds, such as law, accounting, sales, and trading. We look for those who possess sound judgment, curiosity, and are able to adapt to a changing regulatory landscape.
