The SecDb Architecture team is responsible for the engineering and management of a business critical pricing and risk calculation platform called SecDB. The platform is used by all the revenue generating and federation divisions. We are in the process of re-engineering SecDB to become a data-driven and cloud ready platform using modern technologies. A key component of the platform is the firm’s proprietary key-value store that needs to be re-designed.  The essential properties of the platform include – real-time global replication, distributed and reliable deployment, ACID guarantees, support for greater than 100,000 client connections, server-side authorization, etc. These require experience in building database technologies.  As a technical leader in the team, you’ll be responsible for overall technical direction as well as day-today decision making on the platform. Whether assessing the proper accounting treatment, reporting related financial results internally and externally, and projecting future expenses the team offers analytical, strategic and regulatory compliance support contributing directly to the firm’s success. The division is ideal for collaborative individuals who have strong work ethics and pays attention to details.    YOUR IMPACT A successful candidate would utilize his/her skills across the full scope of compensation expense modeling and reporting. The candidate will be working with a managed data environment to report information to senior leadership across the firm and to solve business problems. Responsibilities include building Anaplan functionality and reports, creating financial models, writing and implementing user stories, utilizing excel and Tableau to drive large data analysis, and thinking strategically to drive change.   They will also have a broad ranging role within the Compensation and Benefit Analysis team including responsibility for a multi-year budget related to compensation expenses using the Anaplan platform.  A successful candidate needs to have a strong attention to details and problem solving skills.  The applicant should be inquisitive with a focus on learning. These responsibilities include the accounting of cash payments and equity awards, projections/budgets, wage and tax reporting of employee share-based compensation and share-based disclosures including basic & diluted share count for the Firm.
